OLD PERFUME RECIPE
IN 2001 IN GRASSE A RUSSIAN DIPLOMAT CREATED A FRAGRANCE FOR HIS WIFE BASED ON AN OLD RECIPE.
Passed down in his family for two hundred years, the perfume recipe had originated from a French general, who had in 1814 obtained a position as a French teacher in the family palace of his ancestors after the Coalition Wars, thus finding a refuge from the hard times back then. Later on, this general, a descendent of a famous French perfume dynasty, wanted to give the lady of the palace a timeless fragrance in gratitude.
This fragrance, which was mysteriously captivating and unique in a very special way, was the symbol of a wonderful love story.
It was there, in the South of France, where the perfume was produced in a small factory as the daughter of the Russian diplomat looked on, this daughter discovered her dream of developing perfumes that would stay with people for the rest of their lives, just as their personal love stories do.
WHEN A POWERFUL STORY MEETS THE BEST DESIGN
LEN Fragrance Gallery created first six luxury perfumes, each of them for a different country and different taste. Caps are made by Technicaps in France, and the paint- ed bottles and packaging are designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff – an iconic figure in the design and per- fume worlds.
All fragrances produced by LEN have a 23 – 28% concen- tration of pure perfume oils, making LEN scents some of the strongest perfumes on the market. CRYSTAL BOMB has a 30% perfume oil concentration. Behind each perfume is a love story, written in English and French. Some ele- ments from the story are to find by the packaging design.
